Summer is officially here. We celebrated by taking a long drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway in search of meager accommodations (aka camping). Finding a single tent site proved to be a difficult task as everyone across America had the same idea as we did. After about 2 hours of driving from site to site, we eventually came across a public park with one or two open spots. We parked, unpacked, and settled in for a great Saturday evening overnight camp.
There is something to be said about camping in the mountains. The breeze is all you need to keep cool and there is a never a shortage of fresh air for those moments when the last thing on your mind is a day at work.
